Let's All Go To Mars ....

I was thinking about the shortage of development sites in Sydney, the resistance to urban sprawl and the recent cold and wet weather here when I saw this cool animation by Joe Bichard and Jack Cunningham.


It made me think about inter-planetary strata and the possibility of developing high density living in places other than land on earth.  So, I'll explore that more (and creatively) in future posts.


Mars could be an option - it's close (relatively speaking), we've already managed to get there a few times, it's warm, there's fossil fuels, it doesn't have a dark side (like the moon) and it's likely there's a whole lot more we haven't yet discovered.


In the meantime ... just enjoy the movie.  Plus it's got a worthwhile social and environmental message.
