Recyclable Apartment made from Cardboard

I’ve started to hear a few people in strata talk about greening apartments and there’s an increasing interest in how strata stakeholders can reduce their carbon footprint.

But, how about making a completely recyclable apartment … out of cardboard ?  Sounds to me like the ultimate green strata scheme ? 

Spanish artist, Don Lucho, has created an apartment made entirely of white painted cardboard.  He’s posted his photos on Flickr here.

They’re intriguing because the apartment looks real and lived in … and at the same time, it’s so surreal.  I really like how it looks.

But, whilst the green rating would be very high on this apartment I’m not so sure about what happens when it rains … water penetration would be a really big problem.
