Medium (or Median) Messages ???

The Median is the Message
Marshall McLuhan is famous for the phrase 'the medium is the message' in the meaning that the form of a medium embeds itself in the message, creating a symbiotic relationship by which the medium influences how the message is perceived.  It was pretty radical and cool in the 1960's.

This graffiti artist's wit (Morley) with Marshall's phrase is funny but ironically proves Marshall right as the morphing of message and medium occurs.

And it made me think about other messages that could have a symbiotic relationship with median strips and make  them more visually interesting and useful.  After all there must be millions of medium strip covering thousands of miles passed by tens of millions of people every year.  That's a lot of potential messages.

Enjoy.
